announces the start of the Children's Drawing Competition – «New Year's Fairy Tale».
Drawings dedicated to the New Year and Christmas holidays.
The main purpose of the contest:
1. Revealing the creative potential of children and adolescents.
2. Identifying new talents capable of continuing and developing the best traditions of generations of Ukrainian and Odessa artists.
3. Creating a favorable environment for creative communication.
4. Drawing the attention of the public, cultural and artistic figures, and authorities to the problem of supporting gifted children and developing children's and youth talents.
Competition deadline:
From November 20 to December 18, 2017.
The award ceremony: will take place on December 18, 2017 at the Museum of Western and Eastern Art
(Odesa, Pushkinska St., 9) from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The story about the winners of the children's drawing competition will be shown on the air of the most popular TV channels in Odessa.
COMPETITION RULES:
1. General provisions
1.1. The competition is organized by the Oleksandr Lvovich Zholobov Charitable Foundation.
1.2. The competition is open to young artists – residents of Odessa and the Odessa region, aged 5 to 17.
2. Contest Theme and Deadline
2.1. The contest accepts pictorial and graphic works made using various techniques and art materials, created by children in 2017.
2.2. Format of works: A4 – A1.
2.3. Contest task:
Theme «New Year's Fairy Tale»: drawings dedicated to the New Year and Christmas holidays.
2.4. The contest is held from November 20 to December 18, 2017.
2.5. Contest periods:
Collection of works and voting: 11/20/2017 – 12/14/2017.
Summing up: 12/14/2017 – 12/16/2017.
Notification of participants, award ceremony: 12/16/2017 – 12/18/2017.
3. Conditions of Participation
3.1. A participant may submit several works to the competition that correspond to the theme of the competition.
3.2. To participate in the competition, it is necessary to indicate the data of the participant of the competition – on the back of each work the following information must be written in block letters:

It is necessary to send a scan or a photo of the drawing (The photo should not contain computer graphics, montage elements, collage, inscriptions. Photos for the competition should be in JPEG format with a maximum resolution of 500*500 pixels, up to 1 MB.)

4. Rewarding
4.1. Composition of the jury
CHAIRMAN OF THE JURY:
Maslov Yuriy Kostyantynovich – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of Western and Eastern Art, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the deputy group of the Odessa Regional Council for the EU Strategy in the Danube Region.
JURY MEMBERS:
Oksana Todorova – a famous Ukrainian artist, the author of emotional paintings of fairy-tale characters.
Alexander Kozyr – honored journalist of Ukraine, general producer of the A1 TV channel.
Tatyana Cherevata – the director of the Oleksandr Lvovich Zholobov Charity Foundation.
4.2. The authors of the best three works in each age group, recognized as winners by the decision of the Competition Jury, are awarded valuable prizes from the fund, as well as prizes provided by sponsors and diplomas of participants/winners.
Age category I – from 5 to 8 years inclusive
Age category II – from 9 to 13 years inclusive
Age category III – from 14 to 17 years inclusive
In each age group, the First Prize (5000 UAH) is awarded.
Selection criteria: artistic value and compliance with the competition task.
4.3. The works of the participants will be shown at the Award Ceremony of the winners at the Museum of Western and Eastern Art. And in the TV movie about the competition.
4.4. The Organizer will notify the winner of the prize by e-mail or telephone, according to the contact details provided by the participant.

The award ceremony will feature the winner of international music competitions Maria Mindak (piano). Mashenka has received the highest awards for her skills in Italy, France, Poland, Romania, and Belarus.
