Children's drawing competition 2019 – «NEW YEAR'S TOY»

Competition tasks:

• Unleashing the creative potential of children and teenagers.
• Identification of new talents capable of continuing and developing the best traditions of generations of Ukrainian and Odesa artists.
• Creating a favorable environment for creative communication.
• Drawing the attention of the public, cultural and artistic figures, and the authorities to the problem of supporting gifted children and developing children's and youth talents.

Contest period: from November 1 to December 18, 2019.

Award ceremony: will take place on December 18, 2019 at the Museum of Western and Eastern Art (Odessa, Pushkinska St., 9) from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

The story about the winners of the children's drawing competition will be broadcast on the most popular TV channels in Odesa.

RULES OF THE COMPETITION:

1. General regulations

1.1. The competition is organized by the Aleksandr Lvovich Zholobov Charitable Foundation.

1.2. The competition is open to young artists – residents of Odessa and the Odessa region aged 5 to 17.

2. Competition theme and deadlines

2.1. The competition accepts paintings and graphic works made using various techniques and art materials, created by children in 2019.

2.2. Paper format: А4 – А1.

2.3. Competition task: drawings dedicated to New Year's toys.

2.4. The competition is held from November 1 to December 18, 2019.

2.5. Competition periods

Collection of works and voting: 01.11.2019 – 14.12.2019.

Summing up: 14.12.2019 – 16.12.2019.

Notification of participants, awarding of prizes: 16.12.2019 – 18.12.2019.

3. Terms of participation

3.1. A participant can submit several works that correspond to the theme of the competition.

3.2. To participate in the competition, it is necessary to indicate the data of the participant of the competition - on the back of each work the following information must be written in block letters:

• surname and name of the author
• date of birth (day, month, year);
• the name of the work;
• technique of execution;
• current e-mail address, current contact phone number;
• surname, name, patronymic of the teacher;
• name, address, telephone number of the educational institution where the author is studying.

3.3 Drawings are not returned after the competition.

4. Rewarding

4.1. Jury composition:

CHAIRMAN OF THE JURY:

Alexey Yakovlevich Chebykin – Rector of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, Doctor of Psychology, Academician, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.

JURY MEMBERS:

Oksana Todorova – a famous Ukrainian artist, the author of emotional paintings of fairy-tale characters.

Alexander Kozyr – Honored journalist of Ukraine, General producer of the A1 TV channel.

Tatyana Cherevata – the director of the Аleksandr Lvovich Zholobov Charity Foundation.

4.2. The authors of the best three works in each age group, recognized as winners by the decision of the Competition Jury, are awarded valuable prizes from the fund, as well as prizes provided by sponsors and diplomas of participants/winners.

Age category I - from 5 to 8 years inclusive.

Age category II - from 9 to 13 years inclusive.

Age category III - from 14 to 17 years inclusive.

The First Prize (UAH 5000) is awarded in each age group.

The selection criteria are artistic value and compliance with the competition task.

4.3. The participants' works will be shown at the Awards Ceremony at the Museum of Western and Eastern Art. And in a TV film about the competition.

4.4. The Organizer will notify the winner of the prize by phone, according to the contact details provided by the participant.
